A natural extension of Halasz’s brooding and eerily beautiful canvases, this goth power-trio channels Gorecki , Bauhaus, and Floyd to powerful effect. Balancing composition and improvisation, frenetic mayhem with wide open spaces and a poetic sensibility, their ethos is rooted in the live transmission. Harkening back to the world of atoms and the magic of corporeal experience, Floodflower is dowsing for signals from the old gods, enacting the ancient ceremonies. Reverb drenched guitar and big drums. Heavy bass and burnt vocals. Sonic apocalypse and transcendence in equal measure. Their sophomore release, Fall Into The Half Light, seems culled from beyond- garbled tongues half heard in the dim, apparitions glinting in the half light and gesturing in mute prognostication...
